Trump wants Russia to rejoin G-7

Retired US Army colonel levels stunning accusation about Trump's relationship with Putin

Undermined Western solidarity by arguing for Russia's reentry in the club of top industrial nations, despite its continued occupation of Crimea and other parts of southeastern Ukraine. The point isn't that each of those deals was ideal, but to Trump they were disastrous primarily because they involved the United States joining with other countries in the hopes that everyone could emerge better off.

Despite being at odds with other countries at the gathering in Canada, Mr Trump rated his relationship with their leaders as a "10" - naming Germany's Angela Merkel, French president Emmanuel Macron and Canada's Justin Trudeau, but not the UK's Prime Minister.

Both China and Russian Federation want to ensure that hostilities don't break out on their borders with North Korea, disrupting the region's economy, creating humanitarian disasters and possibly bringing USA troops closer.

Trump returned to his concerns about global trade as he left the White House on Friday, saying the USA would terminate the North American Free Trade Agreement if it is unable to negotiate a better deal.

This is not the first time that relations have been strained, but the depth of the current disagreements may have lasting consequences.

Trump's decision to pull the United States out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal is another bone of contention.

Canada, in particular, has taken offense at the notion that the steel tariffs are justified on the basis of national security concerns.

Asked in Qingdao about the G-7's tumultuous meeting Friday and Saturday in Canada, Putin focused on the rift between Europe and the United States on tariffs, which he said "is more significant than any emotional outbursts".

Russian Federation 2018: Neymar led Brazil thrash Austria in final warm up match
Of those interviewed, 32% found Neymar to be the best player on the pitch followed by Coutinho with 23% and Gabriel Jesus on 20%. That pulled him level with Romario's total of 55 global goals, making him Brazil's third joint top-scorer after Pele and Ronaldo.

Judge approves AT&T-Time Warner merger opposed by Trump
AT&T's stock fell as much as 2.5% and shares were up as much as 5.3% to more than $100 per share in after-hours trading Tuesday. The judge's ruling will likely be seen by tech and telecom giants as a green light to pursue a slew of major media acquisitions.

The move came after Trump refused to endorse a G-7 statement. The two leaders acknowledged that they sometimes have differences but were also very complimentary of one another, especially Trump of Macron. "I may have had a much different attitude". I'm always the optimist. The White House did not say what the president would talk about.

In the past the USA has had low points with Europe.

The blacklisting means any property or assets that the targeted people and companies have in USA jurisdiction will be frozen, and US citizens may not do business with them.

Elsewhere in her remarks, May underscored the need to stop having tit-for-tat actions in a trade war between the European Union and the US which began after Trump imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from key allies.

The divides between the countries are wide. It's a chance for a group of allies to gather together and discuss their common interests and how they might act together to pursue them.

At the start of the Trump's presidency, many foreign leaders worked to develop cordial relationships with him, hoping that it would help to make Trump more willing to compromise on some of his more contentious campaign promises. They can be criticized.

Relations have hit such a low point that a key question now is whether the seven countries can agree on a joint statement of priorities at the conclusion of the meeting. By a almost unanimous vote, Congress ordered some of the sanctions, which Trump then enacted only reluctantly.
