Cohen likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors

Report: Michael Cohen ‘Likely’ to Cooperate With Federal Prosecutors

As attorneys for Michael Cohen rush to meet Judge Kimba Wood's Friday deadline to complete a privilege review of over 3.7 million documents seized in the April 9 raids of Cohen's NY properties and law office, a source representing this matter has disclosed to ABC News that the law firm handling the case for Cohen is not expected to represent him going forward.

Cohen's current legal team is expected to stay with him for the rest of the week as they struggle to complete a laborious review of a trove of documents and data files seized from him by authorities two months ago.

McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, the law firm representing Cohen, "is not expected to represent him going forward", according to ABC.

Attorneys Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison from NY firm McDermott, Will & Emery LLP had previously been representing Cohen.

Mr. Cohen doesn't yet have a replacement law firm but is searching for a federal criminal lawyer in NY, people familiar with the matter said.

"As the investigation widens, and with Mr. Cohen's legal team in turmoil, the chances increase that Mr. Cohen could cooperate with prosecutors", theNew York Times confirmed.

White House makes video for Kim to persuade him to do deal
Singapore Summit news hub is now active on the AP News site and the mobile app. The North Korea leader added that the "world would see a major change".

The source said Cohen had not yet met with prosecutors to speak about a potential deal, and it's unclear whether either side is seeking one.

Any cooperation by Cohen with prosecutors would represent a significant blow to Trump, whose campaign is under investigation for alleged collusion with Russian Federation and who regularly expresses acute frustration with investigators.

Whether or not that's the case (and whether or not Trump would consider a pardon) aside, it is notable that President Trump has reportedly been holding his tongue on Cohen matters because he doesn't want to give him more reason to flip and dig up dirt.

Neither Cohen, Ryan nor Harrison immediately responded to messages Wednesday.

"It resulted in the unnecessary seizure of protected attorney-client communications between a lawyer and his clients".

"Trump should be super anxious about Michael Cohen", a former White House official said. "It's an attack on all we stand for", President Trump said during a meeting with senior military leadership at the White House in April.
