Minnesota Raccoon

The animal was first seen in a niche in the wall of the Town Square building on Monday.

Minnesota Public Radio has dubbed the animal #mprraccoon, while the local Fox affiliate briefly set up a live view of its perch on Periscope.

Looking like a smaller, hairier version of Spiderman, the raccoon was able to scale nearly the entire building, finally stopping to rest outside the Paige Donnelly Law Firm on the 23rd floor. As of just before 4:30 p.m., it was resting 23 stories up.

Then it started to climb. Users posted photos of the raccoon's plight onto social media.

Not prepared to take a hint, it headed to the neighboring UBS tower - one of the tallest buildings in the city.

White House makes video for Kim to persuade him to do deal
Singapore Summit news hub is now active on the AP News site and the mobile app. The North Korea leader added that the "world would see a major change".

People noticed, and before long it had its own Twitter account.

Late Tuesday night, the raccoon began to slowly descend to the seventeenth floor, according to an MPR reporter. "The raccoon!" And I thought, "Well, is there a raccoon in the building?" No.

It's safe to assume at this point, the raccoon wants nothing more than to get safely home-and we're rooting for him all the way there.

There is not a whole lot that St. Paul Animal Control can do because a rescue mission would be too unsafe for both the raccoon and the workers. By Wednesday morning it had made it to the roof of the building, easing fears that it would plummet to its death.
