Donald Trump disrupts G7 women's empowerment session by showing up late

Earlier on Saturday, President Trump concluded his visit to the Group of Seven summit with warnings to USA allies, saying if they don't eliminate barriers to trade, they could lose access to the US economy.

As tweeted by Trump: "based on Justin Trudeau's false statements at his news conference and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to the U.S. farmers, workers and companies", the USA president has instructed representatives, officials and lawmakers in the United States not to endorse the final G7 communique.

The US leader had left the summit early en route for Singapore and a historic nuclear summit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un, only to take exception to comments made by Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a news conference on the ground in Quebec.

The joint communique was confirmed by Prime Minister Trudeau, who said that Trump's tough talk on trade shows that there is a lot of work to be done between the countries.

In his press conference, Trudeau had spoken of retaliatory measures that Canada would take next month in response to Trump's decision to slap tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and the European Union.

"Prime Minister Trudeau is being so indignant, bringing up the relationship that the USA and Canada had over the many years and all sorts of other things", Trump said in a tweet on Thursday.

"It's going to change", said Trump.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was not intimidated, Jiang reported. "And we charge nothing", Trump said.

The Canadian government announced at the G7 summit that it has raised more than $3.8 billion in an effort with other countries to send the world's poorest girls to school.

Golden State Warriors Win NBA Championship, Beat Cavs 108-85
The Warriors led by as many as 25 points in Game 4 and never trailed after taking a 44-43 lead with 5:44 left in the first half. At the end of the day, the Warriors and Curry are the champions, so an additional award doesn't seem to matter much to them.

Nothing US President Donald Trump is doing will "make the world better, safer, or more peaceful", German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told the daily Süddeutsche Zeitung on Friday. Nevertheless, the statement is a positive step toward global cooperation, said Trudeau.

As The Guardian reports, the Comminique is actually "a joint statement [among all attending leaders] vowing to fight back against protectionism and pledging to follow established trade rules, in spite of clear differences between the United States and their counterparts in the worldwide group".

The pledge will likely help Trudeau counter the disruptive influence of U-S President Donald Trump at the summit, who faces a showdown with fellow leaders on a range of issues, from trade, to tariffs to climate change.

The president prompted concerns of a trade war after doubling down on his decision to impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. "Very dishonest & weak", the president tweeted.

"We do not want the situation to escalate to a full-blown and merciless trade war, but hostile actions can not be left unanswered", French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said this week.

Responding to Trump, Trudeau's spokesperson Cameron Ahmad said: "We are focused on everything we accomplished here at the G7 summit".

"I would say that the level of relationships is a 10 - we have a great relationship".

Another image of the same gathering however suggests a more relaxed interaction, with Merkel smiling and Trump making eye contact.

The late arrival at a session, where the G7 leaders were discussing gender equality and women's empowerment sparked concerns that the USA president might not participate at all in Saturday's meetings.
