Domino's fixes roads with ?Paving for Pizza? initiative - Autoblog

Domino's Pizza fixing potholes

According to the press release, "Domino's has already worked alongside four municipalities to help fix roads that directly affect their customers, including Bartonville, Texas; Milford, Delaware; Athens, Georgia and Burbank, California". Domino's says it wants to help "smooth the ride home" for its pizza deliveries. For its latest move to get your pizza dollar, however, Dominos has something slightly more ambitious in mind, namely public infrastructure projects. "Potholes, cracks, and bumps in the road can cause irreversible damage to your pizza during the drive home from Domino's".

Russell Weiner, president of Domino's US, said the company doesn't want to "lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal".

The initiative is cleverly titled "Paving for pizza".

The company launched "Paving for Pizza" on Monday and it's asking people to nominate their town for road repairs. Just go to pavingforpizza.com and enter your zip code.

The website for the effort includes video that allows users to see what four different road conditions can do to a pizza traveling to a customer. "I was ecstatic, I didn't think it was possible but Domino's delivered on their promise to fix potholes in Bartonville", Montgomery said. She said Domino's wasn't disclosing how much it was spending on the grants.
