Adult film actress Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) and Michael Avenatti, attorney for Stormy Daniels, speak to the media as they exit the United States District Court Southern District of New York for a hearing related to Michael Cohen, President Trump's longtime personal attorney and confidante, April 16 in New York City.

Giuliani initially made the revelation about the payment in a Fox News interview. Peskov says he saw Cohen's message but never responded to it.

Novartis and AT&T, which also made a payment to Cohen's firm Essential Consultants, were both contacted by the office of U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller about the situation in late 2017, part of his investigation into alleged Russian meddling into the presidential election a year earlier.

Michael Avenatti, an attorney representing Daniels, on Tuesday questioned why Trump was acknowledging the payment - and his reimbursement of Cohen - now.

Before taking office, Trump said he shifted day-to-day control of his business to his sons, primarily Eric Trump.

The payment made by Cohen was between $100,001 and $250,000 and there was no interest incurred, said the report, following the ethics office practice of reporting dollar amounts of payments and holdings in broad ranges.

The Office of Government Ethics, which released the report, disagreed with that assessment.

For operating New York's Wollman Rink in Central Park, the president took in $9.3 million.

Germany eyes goal of 1.5 percent defense spending by 2025
In particular, the European Union and Iran would maintain and deepen economic ties, including in the area of oil and gas supplies. German Chancellor Angela Merkel supported the objective of 2% on defense, but avoids predictions when this goal can be achieved.

In an interview with NPR, Shaub said Trump's lawyers never asked OGE a year ago whether the payments to Cohen should be disclosed.

But ethics experts say that if that payment was knowingly and wilfully left out, Mr Trump could be in violation of federal ethics laws.

Company spokesman Eric Althoff said last week that Novartis had entered into a one-year agreement with Essential Consultants in February 2017 — a month after Trump's inauguration — to focus on health care policy.

Later that week, the president said the newly hired Mr Giuliani needed time to "get his facts straight".

Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, tweeted, "Mr. Trump's disclosure today conclusively proves that the American people were deceived".

The Cohen footnote appears in a report giving the first extended look at Trump's revenue from his properties since he became president.

The form also shows the President's golf courses missed par previous year earning $67 million less than before he took office. "He had donated something close to $100 million, what's another $100,000?"

According to Farrow's reporting, some of that roughly $3 million could have ended up in Cohen's personal bank account at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. The most recent report - the only one made public so far - examined Cohen's transactions from September of 2017 to January of 2018, and included activity totalling nearly a million dollars. The President reimbursed that over the period of several months.
