Janoris Jenkins continues to pound drum for Dez Bryant to Giants

NFL Draft Dallas Cowboys Select 1

New TV analyst Jason Witten isn't wrong.

Here's five reasons why the Packers should sign Dez Bryant.

New GM Brian Gutekunst may have drafted three receivers, but rookies are generally bad at the position and none were top-100 picks (more on this later).

J'Mon Moore in the fourth round, Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the fifth round and Equanimeous St. Brown in the sixth round. That simply hasn't happened and teams have been hesitant to consider signing Bryant due to his past antics both on and off the field.

It is a bit surprising that the month of May has already begun and a former superstar receiver is on the market. So for the Packers to give Bryant a big chunk of change would be a bit nonsensical.

Hate speech, violence floods Facebook

The former Dallas Cowboys tight end predicted former teammate and now unemployed receiver Dez Bryant would sign with the Packers, calling Green Bay a "great fit" for the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches, but the team isn't expected to pursue him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

"I think Dez is certainly going to have some great opportunities", Witten said. He said that Green Bay would make sense for Bryant, but that at this time the Packers do not appear to be interested in bringing the former star receiver on board.

Witten believes Bryant is looking for the best chance to win and a quarterback who can drop accurate fade throws, something every Packer fan knows Aaron Rodgers is more than capable of doing.

"I still think Dez can still high-point the football as good as any other wide receiver in the National Football League". "I think that's a great spot for him".

Well, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers are unlikely to sign Bryant. Even more are anxious that the Packers don't have enough weapons for Aaron Rodgers to use.
