Eagles' Daryl Worley tased, arrested in Philly

Report: Eagles CB Daryl Worley arrested

According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo, Worley was arrested Sunday morning when he became combative with police. The Eagles acquired Worley last month in the trade that sent wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers.

Officers responded to Broad and Pattison Sunday morning, where they found Worley asleep in his auto on the highway.

The Eagles on Sunday confirmed Worley's arrest and issued a statement that read, "We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning". Philly.com's Les Bowen reported that Worley might not be with the team after the incident. He also noted that Worley liked the "nightlife".

While in college at West Virginia, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault after a 2014 incident at a nightclub. Worley played in 16 games and started 11 as a rookie, recording one interception and nine passes defensed.

He said at the time that he had been defending his girlfriend with whom he now has a baby boy with.
