They also say that it can be a smartphone middle class, and not a competitor to the iPhone X.

HMD Global, the new home of Nokia mobiles is apparently planning to launch a device named Nokia X on 27 April if speculations are to be believed from an advertisement at a multiplex in China. The teasers were spotted and captured by ITHome.

Last Wednesday, HMD Global announced the introduction of the Android Oreo stable firmware for the Nokia 3. Apart from this, no other design elements or specifications have been mentioned in the advertisement. It has been a practice of the company over the past year and a half to release their devices first in China and a global launch few months after that. There haven't even been any leaks/rumours about the device so far.

Nokia has always been busy with rolling out updates and new phone models ever since the brand made a comeback.

HMD is known to bring back old Nokia phones in the market in new avatar- just like it did with Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8810.

If the Nokia X is indeed a mid-range smartphone, it is likely to be priced similarly to the Nokia 7 Plus in the Indian market. So, called as Nokia X will be the Nokia Premium smartphone which is expected to launch in 2019 or by the end of the year in 2018.
