Margot Robbie Now In Negotiations To Play Sharon Tate In Quentin Tarantino Film

It seems like Quentin Tarantino & Co. are given them a run for their money, with sort of their cool kids version of an Oscar-winning, star-studded assemble, as Deadline exclusively broke yesterday that Margot Robbie joins Tarantino in his upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, about the Manson murders.

Although Robbie had a short cameo in Brad Pitt's The Big Short, this will be the first time that the two are leading a film together as well. She now has the offer and negotiations are underway to make it a reality.

Robbie joins a cast that so far includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, in a story set in 1969 Los Angeles during the last days of the hippie movement. Tate is indeed a character in the new film, as Rick Dalton's next door neighbour.

The movie takes place in Los Angeles in 1969 at the height of hippy Hollywood.

The year? 1969. the very same one that saw the murder of Valley of the Dolls actress Tate, which was ordered by Charles Manson and carried out by members of his cult.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be Tarantino's first movie for Sony Pictures since the end of his relationship with The Weinstein Company in 2017.
