Rain Ends Tonight; A Cool And Windy Monday Ahead

With April just around the corner, we may be seeing the last of winter in southeast MI this week with a few scattered snow showers on Monday and Tuesday.

Windy and cold with times of clouds and sunshine and a few flurries.

Snow, gusty winds and high temperatures in the low 30s are in the forecast today for Auburn and Cayuga County. Winds will be blustery and our temperatures are going to struggle to get into the upper 50s. Winter weather advisories are in effect for those areas through late this morning, as snow will linger the longest points north and east. Highs in the upper 40s.

SPRING ARRIVES: A week from today is the first day of spring - March 20. North wind 5 to 10 miles per hour.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. High: Near 40.

The James Beard Foundation has named San Antonio chef Steve McHugh of Cured a 2018 nominee for "Best Chef" of the Southwest. The list announced Wednesday includes those whittled down from a list of semifinalists announced in February .

During the rest of the overnight we will be watching some cold air returning to the Valley.

Snow amounts would barely be noticable since most surface temperatures will be remaining above freezing. The winds will build up a bit out of the northwest between 10-15mph.

Look for one more cold day Friday, before milder temperatures move in for the weekend.

As the snow shower chance continues overnight into Wednesday, an inch or two could accumulate in spots with some of the heavier squalls.
