Mr Corbyn said the "disgusting hate-filled letters sent to Muslim fellow citizens and colleagues in Parliament are utterly contemptible".

Along with Ealing Central and Acton MP, Rupa Huq, Rushanara Ali, Bethnal Green and Bow, and Mohammad Yasin for Bedford, he received a "Punish a Muslim" letter that advocates violent acts against Muslims.

A member of Ms Huq's staff was taken to hospital, but was later discharged.

The letters, which are now being investigated by police, encourage people to get points for committing increasingly serious offences against Muslims.

Two people have been hospitalised after suspicious package was sent to the office of Labour MP Mohammad Yasin.

The leaflets, reported in West Yorkshire, Midlands, London, Cardiff, Leicester, Sheffield and Birmingham, carried an image of a dagger with the letters MS, indicating links to so-called Muslim Slayer which targeted mosques in London and the United States past year with similar threats, the Mirror reported.

Huq told the Guardian that she had been assured that the substance was not harmful. I'm sure I won't be the last and I'm sure this is part of a pattern of targeting Muslim MPs.
