Craig Mack Flava In Ya Ear rapper dies age 43

It's being reported that Mack, who rose to fame after joining Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records and then releasing the mega smash "Flava In Ya Ear", died in the early hours of this morning.

He was in SC, and reportedly passed away due to natural causes, TMZ reports. He is best known for his 1994 hit single "Flava In Ya Ear", which was released under his real name.

After departing ways with Diddy, Mack released a second album, Operation: Get Down, but eventually left music and devoted his life to religion.

More recently, Craig was filming a documentary on his life shortly before his tragic death. "Craig is hip-hop's George Clinton, because his stuff is really off the wall", Diddy had told the Times. "It was something I wanted people to enjoy, but it was cut short because he was very religious and wanted to go to church", Toney said. He was a good friend of mine, ' said Toney, who produced Mack's albums Project: Funk Da World and Get Down Remix.

Flava in Ya Ear was the first release on Combs' label Bad Boy Records, which became one of the most significant in hip-hop history, launching the careers of the Notorious BIG, Mase, Faith Evans, Janelle Monáe and French Montana.

However, this wasn't Mack's first single. "I wanted the world to know the talent he had".
