That being said, the Browns made the move to bring in Carlos Hyde, which makes the Colts' chances of him being on the board at No. 3 more likely. Hyde will receive a three-year deal worth more than $15 million, including $6 million in the first year, according to the NFL Network.

Hyde's career with the 49ers ends after four up-and-down seasons, where he flashed potential but was ultimately unable to show enough consistency to warrant a long-term deal from San Francisco. He also took on a much bigger role in the passing game, catching 59 passes for 350 yards.

ESPN's Pat McManamon reported that the Browns will still consider taking the Penn State product, though USA Today's Jeff Risdon believes that Cleveland is out of the Barkley sweepstakes.

An Ohio native is returning to the Buckeye state. Through the air, the former 49ers starting running back added 109 receptions and amassed 634 yards, scoring another three touchdowns.

How this affects the Browns' draft will be interesting.

The Browns traded for quarterback Tyrod Taylor, wide receiver Jarvis Landry and cornerback Damarious Randall on Friday.

Many see them drafting a quarterback and the team also signed Jonathan Stewart in free agency to help bolster their ground game.

Adding Hyde could mean the Browns will wait for the second round to take a back. He was mostly a backup for his first two seasons. The Browns also traded DT Danny Shelton and a 2018 fifth-round pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for the Patriots' 2018 third-round pick.

Hyde has shown flashes of becoming a premier back in the National Football League, but inconsistencies and injuries have robbed him of any sort of withstanding success. He went on to claim career high rushing TDs (8), carries (240), longest rush (61 yards), and total offensive yards (1288). The closest he came was 988 in 2016 when he missed three games with various injuries.
