Trump Attacks #MeToo Movement After Two House Aides Resign Amid Allegations

This comes after General Kelly was criticized by some outside of the White House for his handling of aide Rob Porter, who stepped down following domestic abuse allegations.

"It should be able to focus on continuing President Trump's historic accomplishments for the American People".

"Some are true and some are false", he tweeted.

"There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone", Trump tweeted. The president - who has also been buffeted by claims of sexual misconduct - asked: "Is there no such thing as due process?"

Jennifer Willoughby, the ex-wife of former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, wrote in a blog post previous year about the alleged pattern of physical and verbal abuse she faced in her marriage, calling the abuse "insidious".

Trump didn't name names, though two male White House staffers have resigned or been fired in as many days over allegations of beating their wives. The ex-wife of speechwriter David Sorensen said he ran over her foot with a vehicle and put out a cigarette on her hand.

Spokesperson Raj Shah said in an official statement that the White House knew about the allegations before long the Washington Post reached out about them.

But their public support for Porter quickly evaporated, once a photo surfaced showing one of his ex-wives with a black eye. A background check for security clearance was in progress at the time of his resignation.

Davy Propper should have done better in the box as he headed Gross' cross from the right over the bar. Next up for Albion, Coventry City in the FA Cup 5th round at the Amex next Saturday (17 February).

Trump Friday wished his former aide well, noting that Porter had done "a very good job in the White House". The President did not express any sympathy for the women Porter allegedly abused, instead focusing on Porter's claim of innocence.

"Everything I told you is 100 percent true and that is why he had to resign today", she told the paper.

Publicly, Trump has offered his support for Hicks, saying: "Hope is absolutely fantastic". His security clearance became an "interim" one as the White House told the Federal Bureau of Investigation to keep investigating the case. The other says Porter grabbed her in a fit of rage and pulled her out of the shower. Porter is said to have abused. At least one past wife, Ivana Trump, accused him of raping her during their time together. Porter has denied the allegations.

White House chief of staff John Kelly knew for months about some claims that Porter physically and emotionally battered two ex-wives, yet didn't conduct an internal investigation into their veracity, sources told CNN.

He also said it was not unusual for someone to be working in the White House with a temporary security clearance, like Porter had been.

For years, Trump has also promoted the conspiracy that former President Barack Obama is a Muslim who was actually born in Kenya and is lying about his identity. One of them, Jennifer Willoughby, posted about it in detail on Instagram in April 2017 and wrote of Porter that "When I tried to get help, I was counseled to consider carefully how what I said might affect his career".
