According to Variety, Snowden writer Kieran Fitzgerald penned the script for the Call of Duty movie, which is now without a distributor, and specific plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, though Activision Blizzard Studios co-presidents Stacey Sher and Nick Van Dyk told The Guardian previous year that they don't plan on drawing any specific story elements directly from the games. But Kieran Fitzgerald (Snowden) penned the script and will develop the movie with Sollima. It was penned by Kieran Fitzgerald, the screenplay writer of Snowden who is also now scripting a second Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes sequel. The Call of Duty movie was first announced in November of 2015 by Activision Blizzard Studios.
