Patrick J. Adams jumps to Meghan Markle's defence following racist comments

Twitter permanently suspends US politician Paul Nehlen’s account for racist tweet on Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle's former Suits co-star has leapt to her defence after a USA political candidate targeted her in a racist tweet.

Following the announcement of Prince Harry and Markle's engagement in November last year, the star paid tribute to his cast mate and called the 33-year-old royal a "lucky man".

Among those who leapt to Meghan's defence with the Cheddar Man photo was her former Suits co-star and on-screen fiancé, Patrick J. Adams, who tweeted, "You're a sad and sick man with no sense of shame or class".

The Cheddar Man skeleton was unveiled earlier in the week and noted that the earliest Britons were likely dark skinned with blue eyes and curly hair.

Republican Congressional candidate Paul Nehlen tweeted out an image of Prince Harry's mixed-race fiance mocked up as Cheddar Man late last night.

'Get a life. And don't go anywhere near MM - she's got more power, strength, honour and compassion in her fingernail than you'll ever know in this lifetime.

Eddie Jones slams officials as Wales get apology for disallowed try
Eddie Jones' men won 12-6 at Twickenham , but the game's main talking point was a disallowed try for Wales' Gareth Anscombe . England have lost one No 8 but gained another before the Calcutta Cup match against Scotland in Edinburgh next week.

Nehlen's tweet may have been prompted by the recent discovery that, as initially believed, early British inhabitants did not have pale skin. Reports indicate that Nehlen's post has encouraged racist tweets from other users who also superimposed photos of apes onto Markle's face.

"Publishing an article disappearing whites or dispossessing whites of their homelands is wrong; made worse when claiming "science" to "prove" whites never existed", he reportedly said.

A Twitter spokesperson told NPR that Nehlen was "permanently suspended for repeated violations of its terms of service". "It's not a laughing matter, so I chose to laugh about it", he wrote.

Among those joining the campaign against Nehlen's Twitter ban were white nationalist podcast host Mike "Enoch" Peinovich and Andrew Anglin, owner of the neo-Nazi site Daily Stormer.

The Twitter account of the man challenging House Speaker Paul Ryan in the Republican primary has been suspended, possibly over charges of anti-Semitism.

The Southern Poverty Law Center said: 'In recent months, though, Nehlen has become a defiant mouthpiece for the racist 'alt-right, ' whose members see in the Wisconsin businessman a chance to further a foothold in culture and politics'.
