A product of Buffalo Grove's Twin Rinks Ice Pavilion, Tennell was asked after the event where she "had been" before her rapid rise to the USA women's team and Olympic stage.

Team OAR/Russia's super star and Olympic medal favorite, Yevgenia Medvedeva, notched the highest score ever recorded in the ladies' short program to capture 10 points for the team. She earned a short program score of 75.10 and earned 9 points for Team Italy, who qualified for the free skate.

As it was with the men's short program, the Team USA figure skater in the women's short program will be a newcomer to the Olympics games.

Husband and wife duo Chris Knierim and Alexa Scimeca Knierim will skate in the pairs free skate while the "Shib Sibs", Maia and Alex Shubutani, will make their Olympics debut in the ice dance short dance program.

Read on for the key viewing details for Sunday, as the team event reaches its climax with the two singles skating events and the free dance. Still they were the only team to score into the 80's, earning a 80.51.
