Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday morning indulged in vandalism at the official residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's Private Secretary IAS officer V Kathikeyan Pandian here that evoked denouncement from all quarters.

On behalf of the IAS Association, Vishal Dev Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Sports and Youth Services Department, condemned the attack and pointed out that such an incident had not taken place earlier in the state.

Accusing the IAS officer of working for the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), the irate BJP workers waving saffron-green flags stormed into the official residence and broke flower pots, damaged a few vehicles parked there and pelted stones.
