Trump's comments about hydropower came after a reporter asked him about his decision to pull the US from Paris Climate Accord last summer, claiming it was unfair to the country.

Trump announced a year ago his intention to pull the US out of the climate pact.

"It's an important issue for us and we are committed to the Paris agreement", said the foreign leader, prompting Trump - the man who doesn't know the difference between climate and weather - to add the USA could "go back" into the climate deal.

Nevertheless, speaking to reporters yesterday, Trump suggested he would still be open to the U.S. being a part of the climate change accord, but emphasised that as it stands the deal remains "very unfair to the United States".

"Because, as usual, they made a bad deal".

The U.S. can possibly reenter the Paris climate agreement, President Donald Trump said in a joint conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg. "It took away a lot of our asset values", Trump said, defending his original decision to quit the climate pact.

Court: Trump pick Mick Mulvaney can remain as Acting Director of CFPB
On Nov. 26, English filed her lawsuit challenging Mulvaney's appointment in the US District Court for the District of Columbia . That same day, he named Plaintiff Leandra English the CFPB's Deputy Director, in an apparent attempt to select his successor.

Trump ripped the agreement Wednesday as "very unfair to the United States".

A full USA pullout could jeopardise global efforts to limit average warming to under 2Celsius over pre-Industrial Revolution levels.

The landmark agreement, which came into force last November, calls on countries to combat climate change and to accelerate and intensify the actions and investments needed for a sustainable low carbon future, and to adapt to the increasing impacts of climate change. Seated in the Oval Office, Trump noted that Norway has been a strong consumer of USA -built military equipment, including the F-35 aircraft. "According to some estimates, we would have had to close businesses in order to qualify by 2025". Whereas as an example China, by 2030, they don't kick in until 2030.

"It wasn't a major topic, I must tell you, we talked about other things, including mostly trade", said Trump, who boasted that the U.S. had a trade surplus with Norway. "I wish we would do some of that". But we will start to negotiate, and we will see if we can make a deal that's fair.

The president emphasised that he is not going to let the Paris agreement deny the US competitive edge. "I'm not going to let that happen".
