Located in the las vegas area.

Officials also reportedly sought the email, Facebook and Instagram accounts of Danley, who was in the Philippines during the October 1 shooting.

Prosecutors didn't oppose Friday's request from media organizations including The Associated Press to release affidavits filed to get search warrants.

Paddock, the man behind the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history, killed himself after opening fire on a crowd of concertgoers from his hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip, killing 58 people and wounding more than 500 others.

In the court documents, which detail some of the early days of the investigation, 64-year-old gunman Stephen Paddock is described as spending significant time amassing his weapons and stockpiling ammunition while also seeking "to thwart the eventual law enforcement investigation" into the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

Paddock is suspected of killing 58 people and injuring hundreds attending the Route 91 Harvest festival in Las Vegas on October 1 before taking his own life.

"We have a wide variety of optics and ammunition to try".

An email in response suggested trying a bump stock on a 100-round magazine rifle, saying it would be "a thrill". Instead, they demonstrate how authorities continue to seek answers to many questions surrounding Paddock's actions and motive.

The emails discussing bump stocks appeared to be sent between two accounts on July 6, both of which were run by Paddock, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Her boyfriend, Stephen Paddock, shot himself dead after firing from a Las Vegas Strip casino into a concert crowd, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds.

The Los Angeles Times reported that investigators were not sure why Paddock would send emails between accounts he controlled, or whether one was controlled by another person.

The FBI affidavit states that when investigators took a DNA sample from Danley, "she spontaneously stated that her fingerprints would likely be found on Paddock's ammunition because she occasionally participated in loading magazines".

Danely's attorney did not respond to a call or text seeking comment on Friday evening.

Federal authorities sought access to email addresses used by Paddock and Danley as well as Instagram, Facebook, Google and Amazon accounts they might have used.

An affidavit notes that Danely's Facebook account was deleted hours after the attack.

"The investigation has also revealed that Paddock may have been treated for yet unidentified medical conditions", an agent wrote.
