LG declared world's largest 88-inch 8k TV ahead of the The Consumer Electronics Show

LG Display rollable

New products from Samsung and LG received rave reviews from multiple foreign media after their showcase at the Consumer Electronics Show under way here on January 11.

While we were shown "The Wall", a 146-inch MicroLED prototype TV, regular LCD, or more specifically, QLED TVs were missing, instead waiting until March to see the light of day.

So what exactly are these other technologies? The Wall is a modular television that dwarfs anything else on the show floor.

LG is claiming right now about its brand new television to be the world's first 88-inch, 8K, OLED display and was actually created as a design to show off what OLED technology is proficient of.

The Wall is also a "micro LED" display, which carries numerous benefits of OLED displays, including the flawless reproduction of the color black, infinity contrast ratio, and gorgeous colors.

He already led the Thunder to one appearance in the NBA Finals in 2012, losing to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Translation: Still the overwhelming favorites for a third title in four years.

"Micro " LED is kind of a misleading name, because this new TV technology from Samsung can create truly very big screens.

Because each LED can turn on or off individually, MicroLED has the potential for infinite contrast, just like OLED TVs.

However, unlike OLED, the Micro LED tech of the gargantuan Wall TV doesn't have quite so many limitations on peak brightness.

Thanks to its smaller self-emitting LEDs, Samsung's technology promises an even brighter image while delivering black levels that are on a par with or better than OLED. In other words, aside from its ridiculous size, The Wall is as close to the flawless new TV as we've seen so far from any brand. As absurdly big as its 146 inch display surface is, Samsung has said that the screen is modular, meaning that it can be both shrunk down or enlarged as needed to cover a whole wall.

Samsung has several major events coming up this year with a number of new devices expected to be launched.
