Arsene Wenger Doesn't Rule out Alexis Sanchez January Move, Denies Malcom Link

14 January 2018, 02:40 | Joan Schultz

PSG, Real Madrid were linked at the past but the latest link is with Manchester United, as various reports saying that Jose Mourinho is ready to land Sanchez at the Old Trafford.

Mourinho won't say more beyond that, nor should he.

Following the news last week that Philippe Coutinho had sealed his move from Liverpool to Barcelona, this week has been dominated by speculation that Alexis Sanchez is on his way to Manchester.

But that would be a custard pie if Mourinho goes "I want Sanchez", and he goes, "no, I'm going to go to Man City".

Hollywood Won't Destroy Sexism, But We Can
Trump appeared on Winfrey's long-running talk show in 1988 and again with his family in 2011, during her final season. But her hopeful message - "A new day is on the horizon" - could have doubled as a campaign rallying cry.

When asked if United were interested in signing the 29- year-old Chilean global, who is out of contract at the end of the season, Wenger said "nothing is really concrete at the moment".

Commenting on United's Premier League clash against Stoke City, Mourinho said: "We are all happy, we are lucky to play on Monday, which gave us this extra day to get back and tomorrow we are here again". The World Cup victor has openly called for marquee signings in the past, and Wenger admitted that Arsenal's ability to fight for trophies could be just as important as the player's salary.

"At the general level, what I can say is that myself and the Manchester United board, we don't believe a lot in the January market".

"They can do the deal now or they can wait and they are looking at least at €95m [£85m] as a transfer fee, potentially more for a 22-year-old player with a few years of Champions League experience".

It's a catastrophic situation for Arsenal with two of their best players out of contract at the same time and seemingly neither interested in extending their stay at the club. Everyone is onto what you are trying to do in the market, and buying the best players costs an very bad lot of money. "Maybe you ask Arsenal, they decide his future". That is what I want to speak about. Never. Why should I change?' Is it me in charge or somebody else, you can only do what is best for the club. You have to try and that's it.
