Supreme Court defers hearing on Ayodhya case to February 8, 2018

Supreme Court sets date of Feb 8 for Ayodhya title dispute; heres more

"They are least bothered about the nation", PM said while addressing an election rally in Gujarat, where the first phase of assembly elections will be held on Saturday.

He was responding toAmit Shah's latching on to lawyer and Congress leader Kapil Sibal's plea for deferring hearing the Ramjanambhoomi dispute case till after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and asking party Vice President Rahul Gandhi to clear the Congress stand on the Ram temple issue.

"Now the Congress links the Ram Mandir with elections".

The Supreme Court has taken our middle ground formula on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title heated discussion on record, affirms Syed Wasim Rizvi, chairman of the Shia Central Waqf Board. He is entitled to do that but is it right for him to say: postpone hearing till 2019? Is such thinking proper?

The Babri Masjid is said to have been built by Mughal emperor Babur in Ayodhya in 1528.

Litigants on both sides have said they hope for a verdict soon.

The court didn't accept his appeal and set the final hearing for February 8, 2018.

"Rahul ji is visiting temples in Gujarat but on the other hand Kapil Sibal is being used to delay Ram janmbhoomi case".
