Syria issue to dominate meeting between Erdogan, Putin

Erdogan set to head to Sochi for talks with Putin

"I'm going to emphasize that our relations can be considered re-established nearly in their entirety", Vladimir Putin said on Monday, welcoming Recep Tayyip Erdogan to his vacation home in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Efe news reported.

President Vladimir Putin is holding a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a meeting in Russia's Sochi.

"I am having trouble understanding these comments", Erdogan told reporters before flying to Russian Federation for talks with Putin.

"If a military solution [in Syria] is out of the question, then those who say this [Russia and the US] should pull their troops out ... and steps for a political solution should be taken", he said.
