Dallas Prosecutor Fired After Uber Driver Says She Hit and Threatened Him, Called Him a “Retard”

In an audio recording made by Platt a woman believed to be Warner can be heard warning Platt that he is going to regret calling police and calling him'an idiot

That's when Warner, who Platt said appeared intoxicated, reportedly started slapping him on the shoulder and warned him that she was a district attorney. He said he proceeded to pull over but initially hesitated to call the police, saying he wanted to give Warner a "chance" after she told him she was a district attorney.

Driver Shaun Platt had posted the incident on Facebook.

Despite what may or may not have happened Friday night, Warner was sacked from her job by Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson on Monday afternoon.

Johnson later said, after reviewing and investigating, Warner's conduct was counter to the department's core principle of integrity, and it won't be tolerated. "I encourage you, the public, to look beyond this incident and recognize that our prosecutors work hard each day to seek justice on your behalf", Johnson said.

"Under the law, it's recklessly keeping me from where I was going, and you have done that, " she tells him.

Platt said Warner began yelling at friends out the window after he picked Warner up at Capitol Pub, the Dallas Morning News reports. "I'm a district attorney".

"It's not kidnapping. Ma'am you are free to leave", Platt responds.

At one point, she allegedly threatened him that he could be charged with kidnapping.

Warner: "Then we'll wait for the cops".

The head of the elite Revolutionary Guards, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, said many older buildings collapsed. The report Tuesday afternoon by the IRNA news agency said the number of injured in the temblor now stood at 7,460.

"I would do anything to react differently", she said. "I'm not kidnapping you". "It was not how I expected my night to go".

'We'll wait for the cops then if that's what you think is appropriate, ' she continued. 'You don't just end a ride ...

"I cringe whenever I hear or think about the things that I said that night", she said. I want the cops to come and **** you up! Platt then called the police and that's when he said the woman hit him. "She became more and more irate", Platt told Good Morning America.

Contacted by HuffPost on Monday, a spokesperson for Dallas police said, "We're still trying to gather information about this case". "Jody is an honorable prosecutor and the Dallas Co DA's office is lucky to have her".

Platt told ABC that he forgives Warner and wants the public to leave her alone.

"There's two sides to every event", Schulte tweeted.

Criminal District Attorney for Dallas County has issued a press release announcing the termination of assistant district attorney Jody Warner.

Warner, meanwhile said she's very embarrassed by this.

Platt released the audio on social media. The 26-year-old Uber driver said Warner, who has worked for the Dallas County district attorney's office for six years, got upset when he tried to initiate small talk about the upcoming holidays. Platt did not, however, intend for Warner to lose her job. She wrote, in part, "I am so excited to be a ROOKIE on Team Blonde this year and to participate in the incredible organization that is BvB Dallas ('Blondes v. Brunettes')".
