Jose Mourinho makes Valencia's Carlos Soler Manchester United's No 1 transfer target in January

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who has been a long-term transfer target of Turkish side Besiktas, is now attracting interest from the Red Devils' Premier League rivals Arsenal according to one Italian report.

However, Stone also cites the close relationship between the player and manager Jose Mourinho as a possibly deciding factor in whether Fellaini opts to sign a new deal.

Fellaini rejected a new contract offer from United in September and will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign suitor in January. It now seems as though Fellaini will move clubs in the near future, as United look to recoup money for the Belgian rather than let his contract run down.

Jose Mourinho now sees Valencia's Carlos Soler as his main January transfer target, in what is likely to be a limited window for Manchester United.

MSU vs. Duke in Champions Classic
The Duke player-of-the-year candidate scored 37 points in a 88-81 win for No. 1 Duke over No. 2 Michigan State on Tuesday night. Duke has won six straight meetings with Michigan State , but this may be the best Spartan team the Blue Devils have faced.

Fellaini is free to hold talks with overseas clubs as from January and could agree to join another team before the season ends.

At his lowest point, Fellaini was even booed by some supporters who refused to accept him as a United player because of his size and playing style.

That said, Jose Mourinho has repeatedly showed how much he values Fellaini in his squad.

Whatever happens in the continued negotiations with Fellaini, United are insistent they will not sell the player in January despite the potential of missing out on a transfer fee which such a stance would present.
