2 militants reportedly killed in encounter in north Kashmir

Two militants were killed and a policeman injured in a gunbattle in Handwara area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday.

The gunfight broke out after terrorists attacked a police check post at Sultanpora in the Zachaldara area of Handwara area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The gun battle ensued after the terrorists opened fire on a joint team of police, Army and the Central Reserve Police Force at Galganzer village, prompting the forces to retaliate.
