The maneuvers will take place in a time of high tension in the peninsula following the interaction of warmongering, some say, between the regime led by Kim Jong-un and Trump, who plans to visit the region between the 2nd and 14th of November.

However, since the only possible way to resolve an impasse like the one we currently find ourselves in, is through long, patient diplomacy, I am more than a little concerned that diplomatic success may not be within the reach of an administration that now refers to the leader of North Korea as "Little Rocket Man".

It remains unclear whether North Korea will lash out with a weapons test during the exercise, as it often has in the past.

The latest warnings from Pyongyang follow weeks of rising tensions, which promise to escalate further when the US and South Korea joint naval exercises begin Monday.

The announcement of Kim's visit with students is defying expectations of more provocations, after North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho said the regime is capable of testing a hydrogen bomb in the Pacific Ocean.

In the past, it was rumored that Hyon Song-wol would have been executed on Kim Jong-un's order after the dictator had discovered that the young artist played in an adult movie. "The US military action hardens our determination that the US should be tamed with fire and lets us take our hand closer to the 'trigger.'" While the US maintains the exercise, like previous ones, is defensive, North Korea sees it as practice for an invasion.

Ri told Russian state news agency TASS this week Trump has "lit the wick of war" against North Korea.

Carragher names his XI of the Premier League season so far
Jamie Carragher has named his Premier League team of 2017, and it's hard to argue against the inclusion of any of these players. The latter Carragher believes will be a future Player of the Year victor following his impressive start to the season.

However many will suggest Trump is responsible for the rise in tension with North Korea, given the hawkish rhetoric he has adopted since taking over from Obama.

Trump recently declared that his top diplomat was "wasting his time" in trying to negotiate with the North.

Despite Trump's tough talk, John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, said Thursday that North Korea's nuclear threat was "manageable" for now.

"We can not allow this to happen". He said there was already "great concern" about Americans living in Guam.

On Wednesday, Trump also characterized a diplomatic deal with North Korea brokered under former President Bill Clinton as a failure.

"The message is that the United States could attack North Korea without South Korea's consent", said Cho Sung-ryul, a researcher at the Institute of National Security Strategy in Seoul.
