Movies Anywhere is launching first in the USA, and all movies purchased from Disney, Fox, Sony Pictures, Universal, and Warner Bros. will be available to watch on Google Play. It has support from 5 major Hollywood studios, but more importantly also from 4 digital retailers where users already have movie libraries. Though Movies Anywhere is restricted in the USA, it does allow for access internationally if you are traveling.

There's more, the new Movies Anywhere service can also be linked to Amazon Video, iTunes and Vudu, so any films from the supported studios on those platforms can be viewed in the same place too. A press release announcing the launch said a goal is a simple, seamless digital entertainment experience across platforms.

Disney's Movies Anywhere service allowed consumers to buy a movie digitally once and enjoy it on all supported apps and services.

Movies Anywhere was originally a Disney-exclusive service - its own answer to UltraViolet. Now, you'll only ever need to use one app again. According to Gilford, customers can also access their library on the new service (Disney Movies Anywhere will be phased out).

Nokia 9 CAD renders show the smartphone's possible design
The Nokia 8 features an auxiliary audio port, so we don't see a reason why the company chose to ditch it in the Nokia 9. Today, we've come across a fresh leak suggesting that HMD Global has another high-end Nokia in the works, the Nokia 9.

That brings together a combined library of more than 7,300 films.

"Movies Anywhere is a massive step forward for the consumer digital media experience, bringing the incredible film libraries of five studios together in a virtual one-stop movie-watching shop", said Karin Gilford, General Manager, Movies Anywhere, who leads an independent, dedicated cross-functional team of product, technology, marketing and other professionals.

Five Hollywood film studios have joined together to offer a new service created to make it easier for consumers to collect digital movies that they can watch at home or on mobile devices, the studios said in a statement on Wednesday. Consumers should activate and connect their account with one of these participating digital retailers- Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes or Vudu to receive a digital copy of both Sony Pictures' "Ghostbusters" (2016) and Twentieth Century Fox's "Ice Age". Connect with a second participating digital retailer and Disney's Big Hero 6, Universal's Jason Bourne and Warner Bros.' The LEGO Movie will be added to your digital movie collection.
