Iran look to end in style; Brazil to maintain their flow

Germany coach Christian Wueck today said there was intense pressure on his team from fans back home after the shock loss to Iran in the Federation Internationale de Football Association U-17 World Cup here.

On Friday, after the Guinea-Germany Group C game, there was a primal scream that came through the other side, which serves as a walkway through the dressing rooms on to the ground.

Germany had 17 attempts at the Guinea goal but out of them eight were on target.

Meanwhile German captain Jann-Fiete Arp, the biggest name in the team, said that his players realised that they had to do something very different after the Iran game.

The second half began with chances at both ends. "The players had enormous pressure for the game, but the boys played cool and got the result".

The Asian side scored 10 goals and conceded just one in their pursuit of qualifying to the knock out phase showcasing their defence, which is equally good as compared to their attack.

Camacho praised Iran for their attacking football and said, "They played counter attacking football and a very lovely game".

"Yes it was very hard for us after the game against Iran. We haven't been able to capitalise on that, and this is something we must work on", Camara said.

"It is their best performance so far and if they continue to perform in the same manner we have a great chance to reach the final", said Chamanian.

Costa Rica, who needed a win to keep themselves in fray for the knockouts, found the going tough and were not allowed space by the Iranian defenders.

"Colombia is a very good team, and we saw their last game on the TV yesterday". By topping the group, they also made sure they stay in Goa for their round of 16 match on October 17.

Asked about the conditions in Kochi, he said, "I think conditions in Kochi are better than Goa because it is not so hot and not so humid".

After the match, Guinean coach Souleymane Camara accepted that the better team won the match. "We were nervous in the first half and in that bargain we conceded two penalties, which costs us the match".
