Court defers Sharif's indictment after clash

Proclamations against Hussain, Hasan Nawaz pasted in accountability court

NAB team likely to visit London to collect evidence against Sharif family

Deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter and son-in-law, Maryam Nawaz and Captain, arrived at the accountability court on Friday for the hearing of the three graft cases against the Sharif family.

According to the affixed warrants of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz outside court, they will be declared fugitives if they don't appear before accountability court within the duration of one month. The court also chose to conduct separate trials of Husain and Hasan from Sharif and his daughter and son-in-law. After the rejection of petition, it is highly likely that Sharif, Maryam and Safdar would be indicted tomorrow during the hearing, unless the court delays it.

Sharif's wife Kulsoom, who is suffering from throat cancer, has undergone three surgeries in the United Kingdom so far.

The court had also made a decision to conduct separate trial of former PM's sons, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz.

Meanwhle PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rashid said: "Nawaz Sharif today did not appear before the Accountability Court in Islamabad because he is in London to look after his ailing wife Begum Kulsoom". His legal team nominated Zafir Khan as the "pleader" - the person who will stand for Sharif in court during his indictment.

On October 3, Sharif was re-elected as president of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The cases were filed after the July 28 verdict by the Supreme Court which disqualified Sharif.
