However, Ozil's agent Dr Erkut Sogut said earlier in the week that the Germany global wanted to play in the Premier League for another two to three years and that talks with Arsenal "are going in a positive way".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the Gunners could lose both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.

On the possibilty of Arsenal selling Ozil, Wenger said: "We have envisaged every solution, it is possible we might sell in January".

Dani Alves is hopeful Alexis Sanchez will choose Paris as his next destination and make the switch from Arsenal to join him at PSG.

However, Wenger insists the lack of extension yet does not mean Ozil won't stay long term at Arsenal.

"I have always said that the fact we didn't find an agreement previous year doesn't mean the player will necessarily leave". I hope he'll be happy, wherever he goes.

Ozil is now again fit and, while Wenger agreed that contract talks with the German were again progressing positively, he says that all options remain open. "It was a very physical game [against Brazil]".

It's expected Sanchez will leave Arsenal at the end of the season, which will lead to a scramble to sign the forward.

"Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow (Friday)".

Alves added: "I don't want to speak much [about Sanchez] because I know how tough it is and also because I don't want for people to interpret things in a way that would have put my professionalism in doubt".

The Germany worldwide is expected to be available against Watford on Saturday, however, although it's unlikely that Wenger will put him straight back into the starting line-up.

"Ozil wants to play another two to three years in the Premier League".

After Brazil's 3-0 win over Chile this week, Alves said: "He is wanted by many teams".
