"North Korea's missiles may be one threat to Guam, but scientists are warning of another: climate change", it reads.

Governor Eddie Baza Calvo shared a video of his call with President Trump on Facebook, in which the President assured Mr Calvo the USA was behind the remote Pacific island "1000 per cent".

Guam is telling its residents what to do if North Korea launches a missile attack at the US territory, but is also calling for calm.

"If they attacked Guam, or some other American interest or our allies".

Calvo responded: "I have never felt so safe or so confident with you at the helm".

"Good morning, good morning", the president is heard saying to Calvo.

The US president told Mr Calvo that Guam - which has a population of 160,000 and is about twice the size of Malta - seemed handsome, telling the governor he had seen images in news reports about the North Korean threat.

In a separate interview, Secretary Delfin Lorenzana of the Department of National Defense admitted the government was watching with concern the rising tension between the USA and North Korea.

"It looks like a attractive place", he said, inviting Calvo to visit the White House the next time he is in the Lower 48.

Guam's Homeland Security Department on Friday released this pamphlet: "In Case of Emergency - Preparing for an Imminent Missile Threat".
