North Korea Threat Will Be Great For Guam's Tourism Industry

US President Donald Trump waits to speak on the phone with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar to congratulate him on his recent election victory in the Oval Office at the White House in Washington, DC, on June 27, 2017.

"Don't worry about a thing", President Trump responded.

The President said he wanted to give his "highest respect and regards" to the people of Guam and that the military is rock solid "we've got the best in the world", he added.

"You know, they're showing so much, it's such a big story in the news and it just looks like a lovely place", he says.

Mr. Calvo agreed: "It's a paradise".

North Korea said earlier this week it would complete plans to launch missiles into the waters near Guam by mid-August.

Buccaneers cut ties with kicker Roberto Aguayo
The Bucs traded up into the second round to draft Aguayo after he was an All-American kicker at Florida State. Aguayo made a 20-yard field goal for the Bucs in the game, but missed a 47-yard attempt and an extra point.

However, Guam's security agency has issued a fact sheet with advice on what residents should do in the event of a nuclear attack.

Gov. Calvo said President Trump's remarks, as well as support from the USA military, give him a "great deal of comfort". If people are caught outside, "do not look at the flash or fireball - it can blind you". "Fallout radiation loses its intensity fairly rapidly".

The first part of the sheet lays out how to prepare for an attack by putting together emergency supply kits, making a plan for family members, and locating a concrete shelter. "The previous three presidents were not able to find an adequate solution [to the North Korea crisis], so he can't be blamed for all this".

"Mr. President, as the governor of Guam...and as an American citizen, I have never felt more safe or confident with you at the helm", Calvo said, according to a video posted to his Facebook page.

Tensions have escalated between the US and North Korea as the communist regime continues testing and expanding its nuclear program, reporting this week that it can now fit nuclear warheads on missiles.
