His disfigured body was discovered on rail track around 1 km away from railway station along with a suicide note which helped in his identification. The personnel had been on their toes for almost six hours when the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Ghaziabad informed them that Mukesh Pandey, the Buxar District Magistrate (DM), had been found.

The suicide note said, "I, Mukesh Pandey, is committing suicide". In the note it was written that Pandey, a 2012-batch IAS officer, was fed up with his life and lost his "belief on human existence". I am sorry, I love you all! He was a 2012 batch IAS officer and was recently posted as a DM in Buxar.

In a shocking incident, senior IAS officer Mukesh Pandey allegedly committed suicide in the national capital on Thursday. "We have informed his family and forensic teams have reached the spot", Ghaziabad district magistrate Ministhy S was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times. I am committing suicide of my own volition and after my death please inform my relatives about my suicide. GRP officials on seeing the Buxar DM's body said, "It seems he jumped in front of a train".

"A police team will unlock the room and retrieve the detailed suicide note".

At 9.40pm, GRP constable Mahesh Chand found the 32year-old IAS officer's body lying by the tracks.

"When he could not be found, the CCTV footage was checked, in which the DM could be seen exiting the mall and heading towards a Metro station".

Pandey also wrote that he was staying at the Lila Palace (hotel) in room Number 742.

Pandey had checked into the posh Leela Palace Hotel in Delhi during the day on Thursday.

Since they could no longer track him through the cell phone, police switched their focus to CCTV cameras.

"I have made this plan that I will tell a lie and go to Delhi to commit suicide".

Before serving in Bihar's Buxar, Pandey had worked in Begusarai's Ballia sub-division as an SDM (sub-divisional magistrate) and in Bihar's Katihar as a DDC. After IAS, he was married to a large businessman in Patna.
