National Football League teams are in the midst of training camp and the preseason has begun. With all the changes plus a talented running back in Todd Gurley and the most expensive and overpaid slot receiver Tavon Austin (now not overmatched as the top option), there is no excuse and 2017 now looks like a pivotal year in Goff's career. That gives the Bills a pair of selections in each of the first three rounds of the 2018 draft. Indeed, Matthews is one of only five receivers in National Football League history to catch at least 65 balls and post at least 800 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons - and he did that with a merry-go-round at quarterback in Philly.

Watkins and Beckham were part of the star-studded receiver class of 2014, which also included Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks and Kelvin Benjamin.

Matthews was targeted 117 times last season compared to 69 for Agholor, who averaged only 10.1 yards per catch.

And as the Rams sought refuge in their Coliseum locker room New Year's Day, they knew they had to address the folly of Fisher's approach in order to ensure Goff had a viable, available path to reach his ceiling. Sammy Watkins and Jordan Matthews were the headliners, but some sleepers - namely, rookie Zay Jones and veteran Anquan Boldin - emerged from the fray and should be highlighted on 2017 cheat sheets. So what could happen is you could have Elliott for the first 12 games but not have him when it matters most - the fantasy playoffs.

Watkins isn't averse to performing with bad quarterbacks. The Eagles badly needed cornerback help, and McDermott is prioritizing size and zone instincts, making Darby expendable and Gaines his likely replacement opposite White.

Matthews, 25, was the 42nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Vanderbilt. It is safe to say that General Manager, Brandon Beane has made a splash. They could either use those picks to build a quality roster or package a few of them to move up.

Quarterback is the pressing question for the Bills. New offensive coordinator Rick Dennison oversaw a passing attack in Denver that threw six more times per game than the Bills a year ago, and given that all three of Buffalo's projected top receivers are new, it's nearly impossible to guess who QB Tyrod Taylor will click with and how he'll perform. He is entering the final year of his deal. What do we expect from the Buffalo Bills in 2017? Because the Rams and the Bills have new offensive schemes this year, it's tough to really evaluate how these receivers will fare in their new homes, but obviously that's not going to stop us from trying.
