But it turned into a hazard for a Texas man who became trapped while trying to make repairs at a Corpus Christi bank. "Please help. I'm stuck in here, and I don't have my phone". Nor did he have his cellphone with him to call for help. A man, hidden behind the machine, was locked in the service room that housed the ATM. But, if the machine starts feeding you notes asking for help, please get help. "Please call my boss", read one of the notes that slipped out through the receipt slot.

"Most people thought it was a joke", Corpus Christi police spokeswoman Gena Pena said on Thursday.

Far from a candid camera-style hoax, the officers were amazed when a little voice came out of the machine, The Washington Post reported Friday.

With nobody to help he made a decision to grab customer's attention and it worked.

The man was there to fix a door lock, which got the better of him, Corpus Christi police spokesman Chris Hooper told The Washington Post.

The note also said he didn't have a mobile phone with him.
