Mourinho: United need two more signings

16 July 2017, 04:09 | Taylor George

Manager Jose Mourinho appears to be building a squad capable of challenging for silverware on the domestic and global stage and, if the rumoured deals go through, punters may decide to use their free bet on United adding a 21st English title to their collection.

United have splashed more than £100 million to bring defender Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford. I don't want to say any names, because I don't think it is correct. We have to respect the player, the club, the owner, the manager.

Speaking at a news conference in LA on Friday, Mourinho said: "I am nobody to talk about a player who is not from my team".

Lukaku and Lindelof will be under the spotlight as major acquisitions, with both players expected to secure starting places in the season ahead. We need more. We wanted four, so 50 percent of the job done.

Increasingly, it looks likely that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will remain a Manchester United player, once he is over the serious knee injury picked up at Old Trafford.

Alexis Sanchez back in Chile on holiday amid speculation over future
Sanchez's Arsenal contract has one year left to run and the player is yet to sign their offer of new terms worth £300,000-a-week. Sanchez will team up with the Arsenal squad later this month ahead of the Community Shield against Chelsea in August.

"It's possible, it's open".

"It's the team of his heart, he wants to prove that he's still the same player as before and hopefully we will see the best of him".

"Zlatan wasn't happy with the way his season finished, he challenged himself to keep playing at the top level".

Jesse Lingard believes Romelu Lukaku will bully opposition defences this season in Manchester United's title pursuit. Maybe we don't get two, maybe we get one.

Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is optimistic over a move to former Premier League champions Man United following the news that Real Madrid are set to go back in for Spanish shot-stopper David De Gea, reports the Mirror.
