Times Square crash victim was 18 year old Michigan woman

The crash killed an 18-year-old woman and the injured included her 13-year-old sister, police said.

A law enforcement official says a vehicle that plowed into a crowd of pedestrians in Times Square killed one person and injured about 20 others.

Fox News said one of its contacts at the New York Police Department (NYPD) told them the driver may have committed a robbery. Police confirmed Rojas has been arrested before and had two prior DWIs. Rojas remained in custody Thursday night.

As for Thursday, city officials said Rojas was driving south on Seventh Avenue when he made a sharp U-turn and drove onto the sidewalk. Details of the circumstances were not immediately available. A further 22 people were injured, four critically, when the auto slammed into them at lunchtime on Thursday. I am so very sorry for the family.
