The small triangular devices have been proclaimed as the ultimate answer for those prone to fidget and they are being snapped up in droves. Don't forget to take the battery out first, unless you want your fidget spinner to explode. With an estimated two to three children with ADHD in every classroom, that quickly adds up to a lot of children asking for-and getting-their own fidget toys.

A school in Co.Wicklow has made the decision to ban fidget spinners, not because they are risky, but because they are proving to be a major distraction while children are in class.

A hoard of schools around the world have begun to ban the toys as they are disrupting lessons.
