Blizzard Entertainment has formally announced that the next event will be called "Overwatch Anniversary", which will celebrate the video game's first anniversary since its first launch in May 2016.

The Overwatch Anniversary event will also add three new arena-style maps.

There is no information on the pricing of the four new Overwatch Anniversary skins. Pharah joins Genji with a new nomad skin while Zarya is pinker than usual.

Last but not least, Blizzard also announced another Overwatch Free Weekend which will run from May 26-29.

Despite the fanfare that Blizzard intended with the new "Legendary" skins, Korean users have been nearly all against the new designs, heavily criticizing the them through Youtube videos and an official news post on Inven.

Since it is "Overwatch's" one-year anniversary, Blizzard has now revealed some new stuff for the fans.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan recently suggested that the studio would be open to more Blizzard crossover content in the future. For the uninitiated, with the One Year Anniversary event, Blizzard plans on adding new loot box items that aren't tied to any specific in-game event, meaning players may have a chance to unlock the dance emotes at any time. We felt like, for our first year, it was really important not to do that stuff.

With Overwatch's One Year Anniversary event set to kick off next week, on May 23rd, fans shouldn't have to wait much longer to learn more about the dance emotes.

One thing that's really fun about Blizzard games is celebrating other Blizzard games. This means that the game can be downloaded for free by interested players. "If players decide to purchase a copy of Overwatch after the free weekend, they'll get to keep any progress made during the weekend". Many are now speculating that the event might be like their past game events.
