The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will sign the 2017 budget when the time comes and when everything is set, a statement by his media aide said.

Osinbajo, yesterday, put to rest speculations that the budget would wait for President Muhammadu Buhari before being signed into law, emphasising that he would sign the budget into law after vetting by the Presidency.

The Minister said when was asked a question relating to the signing of the 2017 Budget, his response was: "When it is transmitted to the Presidency, the issue will be addressed".

"2017 Budget A- appropriations bill now officially received in the Acting President's office and undergoing very prompt and diligent consideration", Akande tweeted on Friday. Osinbajo by the presidential aide in charge of Senate, Ita Enang.

"In respect to the budget, it was only this morning that the Minister of National Planning informed the council that the budget has been passed".
