LeBron James Drills Full-Court Shot With Uncomfortable Ease

20 May 2017, 10:25 | Joan Schultz

It was the second straight time the Cavaliers visited Boston and faced little resistance.

With Thompson adding 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds for the Cavaliers, the Boston front line that helped the Celtics get past the Wizards was dominated.

"It was our two bigs that set the tone - Kev and Double-T (Tristan Thompson), they were phenomenal", James said. "I saw it in Kev this morning".

I can't wait for him to do it in a real game. "So he came through for us".

The only part of the game this play doesn't naturally encompass is LeBron James ruining Boston's life.

Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Cavaliers and Celtics is Friday night at 8:30 pm in Boston.

Two bright spots for Brad Stevens, though, were Jaylen Brown and Gerald Green, who played better than anyone else despite their limited minutes. The lesser of two evils is forcing James to become a jump shooter, and Brown was able to do that at times. Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley were Boston's co-leading scorers, finishing with 21 apiece.

The Cavaliers managed to keep Isaiah Thomas in check as he finished with just 17 points and 10 assists. The margin reached 12, but Wall roared from there with all 14 of his first-half points coming in the second quarter.

Trump tells Russians Comey was a 'nut job'
Trump fired Comey last week, revealing in an interview with NBC that anger about the Russian Federation probe was one reason. He said that though he was personally fond of Comey, "I thought it was appropriate to seek a new leader".

"They were the better team tonight". The hit us first. Then they went with a bit more versatility, but settling for jumpers was no problem for him either. "We can't let that happen again". "We'll make sure it's different on Game 2". "We felt like we did a good job doing that", Love said.

"I hope some of them walk around D.C. and take a deep breath", he said.

The Celtics would close the third quarter on an 11-3 run to cut Cleveland's lead to 92-75, before the Cavaliers would extend the lead back to 20.

Boston also seemed content to make every switch created by Cleveland screens, leading to some awkward matchups for James in the first half.

The Celtics couldn't get anything working when they had the ball, held to just 35 percent from the field in the first half and 2 for 16 from beyond the arc.

The win was the Cavaliers' 12th in a row in the playoffs (one shy of matching the National Basketball Association record, set by the 1988-89 Los Angeles Lakers), dating back to last year's finals. Love, quiet in the Toronto series, scored 32 points against the Celtics. Now that the Cavs have taken Game 1, no longer can you check off home-court advantage as a plus for the Celtics.

Then, later in the game, John Wall dedicated one of his free throw shots to a player on the Celtics in a, shall we say, not-so-kind way.
