Israel provided intelligence Trump shared with Russians

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr said Tuesday that he has yet to get an explanation from the White House on what happened in the Oval Office meeting where the president reportedly shared classified information with the Russians.

"As President I wanted to share with Russian Federation (at an openly scheduled White House meeting) which I have the absolute right to do, facts terrorism and airline flight safety".

President Donald Trump's consequential meeting with two of Russia's top foreign operatives earlier this month has cast a pall over his administration, raising questions about the President's ability to handle classified information when meeting with sometimes adversarial foreign leaders. "We have to work together in critical areas", McMaster said.

"Israel has full confidence in our intelligence-sharing relationship with the United States and looks forward to deepening that relationship in the years ahead under President Trump", Dermer said.

Across Capitol Hill, Republicans and Democrats alike are voicing frustration, distrust and irritation following the constant stream of controversies coming out of the White House.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the leaks are "frankly unsafe".

In another tweet, Trump warned those who were "leaking" information.

The report claims Trump shared a USA ally's closely guarded intelligence on ISIS with the Russian ambassador and the foreign minister. "Given what we already know about (Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election), those meetings should not be taking place".

Trump and Netanyahu talked for about 20 minutes shortly after Trump's meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II, senior officials told Haaretz.

The official said the information was provided to the Israel. Yet his decision to discuss an ally's information on the Islamic State with other countries could damage his standing with world leaders and lead some countries to start second-guessing their own intelligence-sharing agreements with the U.S.

While the White House originally said the decision to dismiss the Federal Bureau of Investigation chief was linked to his handling of the Hillary Clinton email server controversy, Mr Trump later said in an interview with NBC that he had been considering firing Mr Comey for some time.

Trump will visit Israel next week as part of his first overseas trip as president.

At least one member of the Senate Intelligence Committee had been briefed on Trump's disclosures, according to BuzzFeed News. It just says the people in the meeting "did not discuss sources, methods or military operations".

Then, last week, Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, who had led the bureau's probe into the president's links with Russian Federation.
