Hearse theft under investigation

While he was inside the restaurant, someone jumped into the hearse and took off, perhaps not realizing there was a body in the back.

Police found the body, draped in a sheet, still attached to the gurney about 10 miles from where the hearse was reported to be stolen.

Police said the body was recovered and returned to the funeral home.

The suspects were identified as Adam Crow, 27, and Tanya Albrecht, 28.

The body was found around 7 a.m. when a passing truck driver spotted it, according to the Houston Chronicle.
