EAST RUTHERFORD NJ- JANUARY 01 New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick during the first quarter of the National Football League game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills

They went into their offseason workouts with three unestablished quarterback options behind Winston after Mike Glennon signed with the Bears.

Lead by the young gunslinger Jameis Winston, the Bucs itch towards reaching the playoffs and winning the NFC South after a long drought.

The 34-year-old Fitzpatrick, who has started 116 games over his 12 seasons in the National Football League, will serve as the backup to starter Jameis Winston. According to EndZoneScore's New York Jets writer Justin Caba, Ryan Fitzpatrick did not rub off well on Petty and Hackenberg and would pout in practice when those two young players would get first team reps.

Fitzpatrick has also played for the St. Louis Rams (2005-06), the Cincinnati Bengals (2008), the Buffalo Bills (2009-12) and the Tennessee Titans (2013).

Fitzpatrick's 2016 season was a nightmare compared to the 2015 campaign that saw him throw for 3,905 yards and 31 touchdowns.

He has a 46-69-1 career record in 116 starts.

Fitzpatrick signed a one-year, $12 million deal a year ago on the eve of training camp and was a disaster, throwing 10 interceptions in his first four starts (three losses) and eventually lost the job before returning to the starting lineup later in the season.

Technically, Fitzpatrick became a free agent on February 10, when his contract automatically voided.

He has 25,888 career passing yards, 166 touchdown passes and a 79.9 passing rating.

Among the 60 wide receivers to see at least 80 targets last season, Evans had the fifth-most Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target while Jackson came in 16th. They've finally added one.
