Celtics no match for James, Cavaliers in game one

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Le Bron James left drives for a layup in front of Boston Celtics center Al Horford during the second quarter of Game 1 of the NBA basketball Eastern Conference finals Wednesday

His playoff averages of 34.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists on 56.0 percent shooting are unprecedented in the modern era, per Basketball-Reference, and the fact he has made 43.4 percent of his 3-pointers seems a little unfair. That's also a 16-3 record on the road for the Cavs in the playoffs over the past three seasons.

Against the Chicago Bulls the Celtics went down 0-2, against the Washington Wizards everyone counted them out before it even started.

"It was our two bigs that set the tone - Kev and Double-T (Tristan Thompson), they were phenomenal", James said.

"You know, it's a physical game", James said. "I mean, he came through for us". "When LeBron's playing at that level other guys just have to be solid and we have a good chance to win".

As great as James was Wednesday night, it was nearly expected, and the same will be the case in Game 2 Friday night.

A day later the Celtics explained what their only hope against James is.

The Celtics trailed 8-7 following an Avery Bradley three with 8:33 left in the first quarter before the Cavaliers took control. We kinda know what they wanna get to, they kinda know what we wanna get to. "We can't let that happen again".

In Cleveland's four-game sweep of the Celtics in the 2015 playoffs, chippiness between teams escalated as the series wore on and culminated with Kelly Olynyk's ripping Love's shoulder out of place and Smith punching Crowder after Crowder jammed him in the back.

The shoulder was working just fine Wednesday, and he scored in the paint and from the outside. We have to game plan for what they bring to the table.

Israel provided intelligence Trump shared with Russians
At least one member of the Senate Intelligence Committee had been briefed on Trump's disclosures, according to BuzzFeed News . It just says the people in the meeting "did not discuss sources, methods or military operations".

Love got the Cavaliers rolling in the second half when he drew a shooting foul while attempting a three-pointer and knocked down all three of the ensuing free throws. "Everybody was moving the ball, passing the ball well". LeBron got things going early and never stopped. Some jawing continued briefly before James stepped in to pull Thompson away. In the final five minutes of the period, Boston went on a 15-4 run but were still down big, 92-75.

It didn't last long, though, as the Cavs quickly got the lead back up to 20.

For the fifth game in a row, LeBron James scored at least 35 points. Al Horford had just 11 points. The home team has won each of the first six games in this series.

This play typified just how unstoppable the Cavaliers looked in this game, and it wasn't necessarily due to impeccable scheming like other film breakdowns in the past.

Not only has Cleveland stolen a home game, but they have stolen home-court advantage with 3 home games still stashed in their arsenal - just enough to close out the Men in Green. Pluto says that had him worrying whether Cleveland would do well during the playoffs. Don't blame them, nobody stops him.

Or maybe Bill Murray can come help.

"He got comfortable with what we were doing on the defensive end, and he had his way". Kevin Love had a career playoff high 32 as the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers opened their Eastern Conference final series with a blowout win.

Percentages: FG.481, FT.800. Now is not the time to for support to waiver, after a quick turnaround the Garden was not full in game 1, for game 2? He also had a team-high four turnovers. Boston was 10-of-18 for 55.6 percent.

Percentages: FG.466, FT.556. And that includes Kyrie Irving who had 11 points.
