Hundreds of kids scampered around the White House lawn on April. 17 to see who could get their hands on some fun Easter eggs, packed with all kinds of delicious sugary treats like chocolate and gummy bears.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer attended the egg roll with his family.

Trump's wife, Melania, and their son, Barron, 11, and the Easter Bunny joined him on a balcony before they joined some of the 21,000 people who were expected to attend.

Melania showed some public excitement for the celebration on Friday by tweeting, "Looking forward to hosting the annual Easter Egg Roll at the @WhiteHouse on Monday!" It began well before Hayes took office, but was given an official designation after the 1878 event.

The irony of Donald Trump's Slovenian-born wife Melania gently nudging the president during the American National Anthem has not been lost on the eagle-eyed Twitteratti, who have been reacting to the viral moment.
