Members of the Texas House of Representatives voted Wednesday to approve House Bill 100 by Representative Chris Paddie (R-Marshall) establishing statewide regulation of Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) such as Uber and Lyft. Committee members, as they often do after a first public hearing, left the bill pending. That's why he believes consistency, one law for all of Texas, is another reason the bill is necessary.

"About the unintended consequences might be about opening up restrooms to whoever felt like they felt for a particular time", Simmons explained. But opponents were scrambling again ahead of a House State Affairs committee meeting Wednesday that has revived the effort.
